A music video I directed for the band Wildling just came out yesterday. It's been one of those happy (and often rare) instances where I connected early on in a very organic way with a project and with my collaborators, and the entire process, and the shoot itself, felt like I was working with friends. The feeling took me back to my early filmmaking days in high school, running around Flint, Michigan with a cheap camcorder, figuring out how to tell stories and break the rules at the same time. I feel lucky to have had a song as evocative as Lilywhite to work with, and the creative freedom the guys in the band (and their label, Warner Bros Records) allowed me on this film.
